HaZohar Hakadosh of the Tzaddik Kabbalist Rabbi Naftali Yaakov Hacohen - Vilna, 1911 - Sefer HaZohar, Beresahit section, published by the Rom Widow and Brothers - Vilna, 1911. Two title pages. [8], 267 leaves. Some detached sheets. Focused moth damage in some places. Old, worn binding with moth damage. Good overall condition.  On the title pages and more, 3 signatures in fine script: ”ב”ה לה”ו הקטנפתליעקבלא”אמש הכהן” (הקטן נפתלי יעקב בלא”א משה הכהן) and many of his stamps ”הרב נפתלי יעקב הכהן רח' הגבורים 48 חיפה”   - the Gaon Rabbi Naftali Yaakov Cohen (1885-1972) a disciple of the Arugat Habosem. Received his rabbinic Semicha when he was only 18 and received the rare Semicha of the Gaon Rabbi Meshulam Roth. Served as Dayan in Kirlivova, Bukovina and as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Jahipolova, Hungary. In 1948, immigrated to Israel and lived in Haifa, where he served for some time as Ram at the yeshiva of the Makor Baruch of Seret Vizhnitz, to him he was very close. Author of Savar Naftali and Otzar Hagdolim Alufei Yaakov - nine sections.
