Coupon for the Chalukah of Matzahs Signed by the Chabadic Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Slonim the Rav of Hebron and Descendant of the Lubavitcher Admorim - Nissan, 1927 - Coupon for the Chalukah of Matzhas - by the Vaad Haklali Knesset Yisrael - with the handwritten signature of the Chabadic Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yosef of Slonim, the last Ashkenazic Rav of Hebron during the Riots - Hebron-Jerusalem, 1927. The coupon confirms the Chalukah of 8 Rotel of Matzahs for the Rav of the town, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Slonim. On the lower part of the receipt, Rabbeinu's signature: ”יעקב יוסף סלאנים”. 8X12 cm.  Good condition.  The Chassid Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Slonim (1881-1938), the Rosh Yeshiva of Torat Emet of Hebron and Av Beit Din of the Ashkenazic community of the town. Was the grandson of the pious Rebbetzin Menucha Rachel and her forefathers the Mitteler Admor and the Admor Hazaken Baal Hatanya. Was the representative of the Admor the Rashab in Hebron. He was the one who thought of bringing the Hebron Knesset Yisrael Yeshiva to the town. He miraculously survived the 1929 Riots yet lost several members of his family.
