Greetings for Passover in a Lengthy and Fascinating Polemic Letter Handwrittern and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Isser Yehuda Unterman - with Reference to Maran Rabbi Chaim Ozer - Tel Aviv, 1965 - רצוני לבער מחשבה חמוצה שמקורה בשאור שבעיסה אשר בקרבנו - fascinating letter on the principles of faith - by the Chief Rabbi of Israel, the famed Gaon Rabbi Isser Yehuda Unterman - Tel Aviv, 1956. Fascinating letter sent by Rabbeinu to Harav Maimon, following a lecture implying that Rabbeinu supports, G-d forbid, the idea of ”progressive Judaism”. Rabbeniu writes to him that he had immeditaley written an article for Hatzofeh denying the implication and delivered a speech on the subject during a conference of Mossad Harav Kook: ”סהדי במרומים כי נלחמתי ממש עם חבורה ידועה של תנועתנו, שרוצים לפרש את מוסר התורה ע”פ רעיונות שצצו ועלו בתקופה האחרונה...”. Rabbeinu also notes the instruction given by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer not to conduct arguments on matters of faith in the media: ”ותלה עצמו באילן גדול, הגאון ר' חיים עוזר זצ”ל, שהזהיר תמיד... פולמוס עתונות בעניני אמונה בתורה...”. Official stationery, written on both sides. 21X27 cm. Filing perforations. Fold line. Good condition. The Gaon Rabbi Isser Yehuda Unterman (1886-1976) a great Gaon and leading Baal Hora'ah.
