With Additions Handwritten by the Rebbe Early Letter with Guidance on Moving to a New Apartment - Iyar, 1953 - Letter from the Rebbe's first years of Nessiut, typewritten on the Rebbe's official aerogram from Beit Chayeinu 770, Brooklyn New York. From Iyar 19, 1953. With additions handwritten by him. The Rebbe addresses a question about moving to a new apartment to live close to the place of Avodato Bakodesh. The Rebbe states that this should be done only if the apartment is suitable and spacious and if his wife agrees: ”אם הדירה מתאימה ומרווחה (this word handwritten by him), וגם זוגתו תחי' מסכמת על זה”. The Rebbe advises not to sell their apartment at first but rather rent it out. The Rebbe ends with a blessing: ”והשי”ת יצליחו ואת כל ב”ב שיחיו בכל המצטרך להם בגשמיות וברוחניות. בברכת (a correction handwritten by him in the last letter) הצלחה (handwritten by him)”. The Rebbe's handwritten signature. At the end, the Rebbe addresses pictures that were sent to him and ends with another word handwritten by him: ”ות”ח” [ותשואות חן]. Fold lines and a notation on verso of the letter. Good overall condition.
