First Edition of Sefer Arugay Habosem - a Gramar Book by Rabbi Shmuel Archevolti - Juan di Gara Press Venice, 1602 - Sefer Arugat Habosem - grammar, Hebrew letters, vowelization and Te'amim - by Rabbi Shmuel Archevolti, the proofreader at the press of Juan di Gara - Venice, 1602 - illustrations and tables - first edition in the author's lifetime. The author, Rabbi Shmuel ben Elchanan Yaakov Archevolti (1530-1611) a polymath. Was the proofreader and editor at the press of Juan di Gara, editing the books that were published by the printing house. Among the important books that he proofread were the Tur Beit Yosef, Shulchan Aruch, Sefer HaAruch and more. At the end of the Tur Beit Yosef, Rabbi Shmuel added a poem he had written. In addiiton, he authored the books Mayan Ganim and Degel Ahavah. The title page of the book is decorated with figures and plants. The book contains tables and illustrations for demonstrating grammar rules. 119 [i.e. 118], [2] leaves. Fabric binding. Stamp stains on the title page.
