Fine Complete Set of the Miniature Edition of Torah Neviim and Ketuvim - Robertus Stephanus Press Paris, 1544-1546 - Complete set of the Bible, Torah, Neviim and Ketuvim, ”printed by the order of Robertus Stephanus and in his home... 1544-1546, here in the capital of Paris in France...”. Rare and impressive Hebrew edition of the Bible that was printed in Paris in the years 1546-1544 by the famed printer Robert Estienne (who was known by his Latin name Robertus Stephanus) and was considered one of the leading printers of the French  Renaissance.  This edition was printed as a small pocket edition (16mo) the size of approx. 11X7 cm. This edition is one of the first Hebrew editions of the bible that were printed by a non-Jew and is considered revolutionary in its quality and textual precision. It contains vowelization, Te'amim, division into verses and chapters and is one of the first that included the Mesorah-based punctuation of the text in an attempt to maintain scientific precision in Hebrew.  This is a complete set of seven volumes:  1. Chamisha Chumshei Torah . Adar - 1546. [146; 123; 88; 122; 107] leaves. 2. Neviim Rishonim . Kislev - 1544. [77; 73; 176; 184]  leaves.  Yehoshua and Shoftim have a title page with an imprint; Shmuel and Melachim, only the book's title in Hebrew and Latin.  3. Neviim Acharonim . 1544. Yeshaya : in the month of Adar. [131] leaves. Yirmiyahu : in the month of Av. [168] leaves. Yechezkel : in the month of Elul. [144] leaves. Each book has a full title page.  4. Trei Assar : Kislev [1543]. [117] leaves. Chamesh Megillot : Kislev [1543]. [80] leaves.  5. Divrei Hayamim . [183] leaves.  6. Daniel and Ezra (Nechemya) : Sivan - 1545. [47; 30; 43] leaves.  7. Mishlei Shlomo and Iyov : Nissan - 1545. [53; 61] leaves. Tehillim : Shevat - 1545. [159] leaves.  All the title pages are with an imprint except Divrei Hayamim which is with the book's title only. A total of 17 title pages (one of them - of Sefer Daniel - is a professional photocopy on old paper). In Divrei Hayamim, the first leaf of sheet 23 was completed with a professional photocopy on matching old paper. In Sefer Daniel, the title page and 2 following leaves were completed with a professional photocopy on matching old paper. In Tehillim, a small tear not affecting the text, a restored tear to the corner of one of the leaves and an additional tear to the corner of another leaf which was completed with a photocopy and an additional leaf of chapter 7 was completed with a professional photocopy on matching old paper. A total of 5 leaves that were completed with a photocopy/ Stains and minor blemishes. Fine similar leather bindings. Varied foreign notations throughout the books. The set is made of varied copies. Very good overall condition.
