Good overall condition.  Ownership stamps of Gaon Av Beit Din of Jerusalem, the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbeinu Moshe Aryeh Freund. On Hilchor Shemitah and Yovel, glosses handwritten by Rabbeinu, which is extremely rare since Rabbeinu did not usually write glosses on the books he studied. In this volume, there are 3 lengthy glosses handwritten by him.   The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund (1904–1996), Gaon Av Beit Din of the Eidah HaChareidit in Jerusalem. He was the son of Rabbi Yisrael, Av Beit Din of Hunyad. Even before the Holocaust, he held rabbinic positions in the towns of Naszód and Răgușa, and later served as a Dayan and Rosh Yeshiva in the city of Satmar under the leadership of the Rabbi Yoel of Satmar, to whom he was deeply devoted with remarkable spiritual attachment. After the war, he became widely known for his extraordinary expertise in the Halachic release of Agunot and many sought his guidance and rulings. Upon immigrating to Jerusalem, he became a central figure among Satmar Chassidim, and at the request of the Satmar Rebbe, he was appointed head of the Satmar Yeshiva, a position he held for nearly forty years, raising thousands of students who revered him as a spiritual leader, Tzaddik, and a wonder-worker. In 1987, he was appointed Gaon Av Beit Din of the Eidah HaChareidis, a position he held until his passing. He was renowned for his humility, firm halachic stance, and deep love for his disciples. Rabbi Aharon of Belz once said about him: ”He tips the entire world to a scale of merit.”
