Facinating Letter by the Admor Rabbi Ben Zion Yehuda Leib Twersky of Hornosteipel - with Reference to His Son and Successor Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael - Chicago the Years of the Holocaust - שירחם השי”ת שתזכו להתראות [May Hashem have mercy on you and you merit seeing one another] - fascinating letter with many family details - handwritten and signed by the Admor Rabbi Ben Zion Yehuda Leib Twersky of Hornosteipel - Chicago, the years of the Holocaust.  Rabbeinu sent his letter to his sons who had remained in Europe. Among others, he refers to the pasing of his relative, the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Twersky of Makrov-Chicago, the son of the Admor Rabbi Yeshaya Twersky of Kiev, a descendant of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachumn of Chernobyl. Was the son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel of Monstritz. Passed away in Chicago in 1945: ”דרשתי ע”ד מות ש”ב הרה”ח ממאקארוו... ישמור ה' אותנו מכל.. ואך שלום יהיה...”.   Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak of Makrov-Chicago was born in 1896. Succeded his father as a young man.Was the son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel of Monstritz. In 1926, he immigrated to the USA, settling in the USA. Passed away in Chicago in Sivan 1945.  He also refers to his youngest son, the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Twersky, the son-in-law of the Admor the author of the Kedushat Zion of Bobov: ”אדבר מזה אי”ה עם בני הר”ר יעקב ישראל שליט”א”.   Official stationery.  19X27 cm.  Good condition.  The Admor Rabbi Ben Zion Yehuda Leib Twersky (1868-1951) the son of Rabbi Mordechai Dov of Hornosteipel, and son-in-law of Rabbi Yitzchak Yoel of Kontikoziva [grandson of the Teshu'ot Chen]. Succeeded his father as Rav of Hornosteipel, Ukraine, after his father's passing in 1903. In 1939 he travelled to Antwerp and could not return because of the war. He escaped to the United States and settled in Chicago, until his passing in 1951.
