Rare Collection including s Notation, Signatures, Gloss and Stamps of the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Brisk Av Beit Din of Tashnad and His Son Rabbi Aharon Zvi - 3 Books from Their Library - Rare collection from the library of the the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Brisk the Rav of Tashnad, 5 books in 3 volumes: Handwritten notation, signature and stamp: 1. Sefer Miztvot Gadol section I, with the work Brit Moshe by Rabbi Moshe Chaim ben Rabbi Avraham Aharon Weiss of Kleinwardein. The book contains approbations by leading contemporary Admorim including the Admorim of Munkatch, Bobov, Vizhnitz and more - first edition of Brit Moshe, Munkatch - 1905. Section I: Mitzvot Loh Asseh. Originally, [10], 226 leaves. In this copy, until leaf 110 the rest is missing. On the flyleaf, a notation handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai of Brisk: ” אלו החלקי סמ”ג (as stated, this is only Section I) עם פירש ברית משה קיבלתי מכבוד שא”ב הה”ג המחבר שליט”א. הק' מרדכי בה”ג מדאדא שליט”א ”. In addition, a notation handwritten by his son ”הק' אהרן צבי בן גיטל...” and another notation handwritten by him with his full signature. On leaf 95, a handwritten notation signed ”יצחק ק”ר”. Handwritten notation and stamp 2. Volume with books by Rabbi Menachem Mendel panet the Admor of Deyzh: Sefer Sha'arei Tzeddek on Yoreh Deah - first edition Munkatch -1883. 60, 20, [2] leaves. Bound with Sefer Avnei Tzeddek on Even HaEzer - first edition Munkatch - 1885. [2], 70, [6] leaves.  On the flyleaf, a pencil notation apparently handwritten by Rabbi Mordechai of Brisk referring to Siman 94.  On the title page, a stamp: ”מרדכי בריסק דיין מארגרעטען”. Among the leaves of the book, a small leaf with a stamp: ”כשר בשחיטה ובבדיקה - טאשנאד”. Lengthy gloss, signature and stamp 3. Shut Birkat Yosef by Rabbi Yosef Landau of Jassy - first edition Lemberg - 1869. [2], 8 [i.e. 9]; [30]1; 27, 29-88, [4] leaves. The last 4 leaves contain omissions and the Simanim of the book - these leaves are bibliographically not listed! Bound with Sefer Meah She'arim by Rabbi Yitzchak Levi Ish Horowitz Av Beit Din of Stanislav - first edition Lemberg - 1887. [2], 78 leaves. On the title page, the author's stamps! On the title page of Sefer Meah She'arim, a stamp: ” מרדכי בריסק דיין מארגרעטען ” and his handwritten signature: ” הק' מרדכי בריסק ”. On leaf 70, a lengthy gloss handwritten by him.   Varied blemishes. Conditions vary. Mostly good-fair condition. The Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Brisk (1886-1944) the son of the Gaon Rabbi Yehoshua Brisk, the Rav of Tisa-Dada. Received his Hora'ah Semicha when he was 18 from his Rav Rabbi Mordechai Yehuda Leib Winkler of Mad and by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Glick of Toltshtva. Served as Dayan and Moreh Tzeddek of Margarita, where his in-law lived. Several years later, he was appointed Rav of Tashnad, where he established a large yeshiva. Perished in Auschwitz with his wife and children, except for his son Rabbi Aharon Zvi Brisk, who survived. His Chidushim were published in Shut Maharam Brisk and Drashot Maharam Brisk.
