Rare! Letter by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in the Year of Mourning for the Rebbe the Rayatz before He Received the Nessi'ut on the Official Stationery of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch - Tishrei 1950 - Rare letter signed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in the year of mourining for his in-law, the Rebbe the Rayatz, and before he received the Nessi'ut, on the official stationery of the Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch -  lateTishrei 1950.  The version of the Igeret Kodesh indicates the Rebbe's refusal to accept the Nessi'ut and his staying true to his belief that all matters derive directly from the Rebbe the Rayatz' power.  Special! The addressee's name was handwritten by the Rebbe! At first, the Rebbe confirms the receipt of the Pidyon Nefesh and describes what was done with it: ”הפ”נ שלו נתקבל, וקראתיו בערב יום הקדוש על הציון, ואח”כ בהיכל כ”ק מו”ח אדמו”ר הכ”מ, שלשם נכנסים לנתינת פדיונות ויחידות”. Then he continues to describe the power of the Tzaddik after his passing, as stated already in the Tanya:  ”וצדיקא דאתפטר, דאשתכח בהאי עלמא יתיר מבחיוהי, בטח נתן ברכתו והשי”ת ימלא ברכתו בגשמיות וברוחניות”. Later, he encourages the addressee to continue to adhere to the instructiosn of the Rebbe the Rayatz: ”בטח יוסיף אומץ בשקידה בלימודו וגם ישמור השיעורים השוים לכל נפש בחומש תהלים תניא שקבע כ”ק מו”ח אדמו”ר הכ”מ ונעתקו ב”מורה שיעור”. ויהי רצון שיגדל להיות ירא שמים חסיד ולמדן  (an interesting version, since usually the Rebbe wrote: ”חסיד, ירא שמים ולמדן”). At the end, the Rebbe again emphasizes that the Rebbe Rayatz is still the Nassi: ”ונשיא המוסד שלומד בו, הוא כ”ק מו”ח אדמו”ר הכ”מ, יוכל לומר עליו בשביעת רצון: ראו גידולים שגידלתי”. Before his signature, he blesses: ”בברכת הצלחה בלימודו ביראת שמים”.
