Lengthy Paternal Letter with Warm Blessings Handwritten and Signed by Maran the Admor Author of the Beit Yisrael of Ger - Jerusalem, 1960s - Aerogram handwritten and signed by Maran the Admor the Beit Yisrael of Ge. Sent on Thursday Emor from Jerusalem in the 1960s to Pittsburgh, USA, ”to my dear friend Ephraim Sheraga [Zilberberg]”. A paternal letter indicating Rabbeinu's personal involvement in each and every detail of his Chassidim's life. Among others, Rabbeinu asks about the addressee's mother and brothers: : ”ואבקש להודיעני הלאה מהנשמע אצלכם, וממצב אמך תחי' כי איני שבע רצון והשי”ת יעזור לה במהרה, כן תודיעני מה שתדע מהנשמע אצל אַחֶיך... ואם הם מצליחים, כי איני שומע מהם כלום...”. The letter contains many warm blessings for good health and Semachot and Besorot Tovot: ”והנני בזה לברך אותך בברכת מז”ט [מזל טוב] ויעזור לך השי”ת ברב נחת ממנה ומכל יו”ח [יוצאי חלציך] שיחיו, ביחד עם ב”ב תחי' בבריאות השלימות ויתגדלו לכל טוב מתוך הרחבה ועיניכם ועיני הוריכם רואות ושמחות, והשי”ת ישלח במהרה רפואה שלימה לאמך ה' תחי' ונתבשר אך טוב”. The Admor ends with the words ”ידידך הדוש”ט והצלחתך עם ברכת כל טוב, המצפה לישועת ד'...” and his handwritten signature. [1] leaf. Aerogram 22X20 cm. Fold lines, blemishes and minor stains. Maran the Admor Rabbi Yisrael Alter, the Beit Yisrael, of Ger (1895-1977) the son of the Admor the Imrei Emet of Ger. Was the fifth Admor of Ger, who re-established the Chassidut after the Holocaust and was one of the prominent leaders of the Chareidi community in the State of Israel. Known as the Beit Yisrael after his books which were publsihed after his passing. Was also the chairman of Mo'etzet Gedolei HaTorah. In this capacity, he greatly influenced the conduct of the Agudat Yisrael MOvement which was founded by his father/ Was famed as a Kadosh and Tahor, sharp, generous and as a wonder-worker. One of the greatest Admorim in the world.
