Mazel Tov Blessing Handwritten by the Rebbe on a Copy of a Letter that was Sent with the Rebbe's Blessing for Setting a Wedding Date - Av 1974 - Typewritten copy of a letter, from Av 26, 1974, addressed to the mayor of Lod, Mr. Zvi Itzkovich.  In the letter, the Rebbe sends his blessing of Mazel Tov after being informed the wedding date of the addressee's daughter had been set: ”בנועם נתקבלה ההודעה מקביעות זמן חתונתו של בתם... עם ב”ג [בן גילה]... ליום ב' באלול הבע”ל [הבא עלינו לטובה]. והנני בזה להביע ברכתי ברכת מזל טוב ושתהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ויבנו בית בישראל בנין עדי עד על יסודי התורה והמצוה כפי שהם מוארים במאור שבתורה זוהי תורת החסידות.  The Rebbe handwrote the word ” מז”ט ” to double his blessing, as he usually did in such letters. On the margins of the letter, where the signature is, the following was written:  בכבוד ובברכת מזל טוב, מזל טוב וזכות פעולותיו בביסוס ובבנין העיר לוד (ובלשון הכתוב ”לוד ובנותי') בארצנו הקדושה, ארץ אשר תמיד עיני ה' אלקיך בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה - תעמוד לו ולכל אשר לו בכל האמור. Stains. Fold lines. A small open tear to the upper edge not affecting the text. Good overall condition.
