Letter of Condolences with The Rebbe the Rayatz' Blessing for Good Health and Parnasah Tovah with Additions Handwritten and Signed by Him with an Assyrian Yud in His Final Year - Adar, 1949 - Typewritten letter on the Rebbe Rayatz' official stationery from Adar 1, 1949, his final year. Addressed to an important Chassid. At the beginning, the Rebbe comforts him for his father's passing.  Later, he mentions his wife in the context of health issues and blesses her: ”והשי”ת ישלח לה רפואה ויחזק את בריאותו ובריאות ילידיהם יחיו ויתן להם פרנסה טובה בהרחבה”.   The Rebbe doubles his blessing for Parnasah, writing: ”השי”ת יעזרהו לסדר עניניו בכי טוב ויתן לו פרנסה טובה בהרחבה גדולה בגשמיות וברוחניות”. At the end, the Rebbe writes an instruction: ”אודות האוטו יסדר כפי המתאים להזמן בנסיעות במקומות בטוחים בעזרתו ית' על ידי פועל נאמן”. Beside the signature, ”ידידו הדו”ש ומברכם”, the Rebbe handwrote: ”בגשמיות וברוחניות” and his signature the way he used to sign in his final year - with an Assyrian Yud at the beginning of his second name. Wonderous and Divine was the Rebbe Rayatz' handwritten signature. In his final year, he began signing his second name with an Assyrian Yud. A year after the Rayatz' passing, on Shabbat VaEra Mevarchim of Shvat, the Rebbe explained the matter in a special Sichah he gave. See Torat Menachem volume II (1951, I) p. 190m and onwards.
