Sefer Yesod! The Natziv's Commentary on the Torah: Complete Set of Chamisha Chumshei Torah Ha'amek Davar - First Edition Vilna, 1879 with the Siddur at Its End - Chamisha Chumshei Torah. The first edition of the comprehensive and foundational work by Rabbeinu Naftali Zvi Yehuda Berlin, the Natziv of Volozhin. With its publication, the work became one of the cornerstones of Torah elucidations to this day. Printed in the lifetime of Rabbeinu the author, who titled it Ha'amek Davar: ”העמק דבר... ומצורף לזה עוד הרחב דבר...”. Printed at the end of each Chumash is a Siddur with the Sabbath prayers of Shacharit and Mussaf. Two title pages for each section. First edition. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod p. 38 of the supplements. Vilna, 1879. Apparently a complete copy; has not been studied on a leaf-by-leaf basis. Some tears and taping, affecting the text of some leaves. Some detached leaves. Some moth damage. Stains.
