Kuntres Hagu Sigam - the Controversy Surrounding the Rabbinate of Bârlad - by the Rav of the Town Rabbi Yaakov Meir Deutschman - Lviv, 1871 - An extremely rare polemic Kuntres - surrounding the rabbinate of Bârlad, Moldova - by the Rav of the town Rabbi Yaakov Meir Deutschman - Lviv, 1871 - single edition.  The Kuntres describes in detail the dispute in  Bârlad between the local Rav, the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Meir Deutschman, and Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Toivash, who came to the town and was also declared Rav by Rabbi Deutschman's opponents.  The boolet contains letters by the famed Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathanson, Av Beit Din of Lviv, his brother-in-law, Rabbi Mordechai Zeev Ittinga, the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Kluger, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac's uncle, the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Shmelke Toivash and the Gaon Rabbi Yeshaya Schor, Av Beit Din of Jassy.  ”דובר מקירות לבו על השערוריה שנעשתה פה... ולהסיר סיגים וחרולים וקמשונים מכרם ה'...” [He spoke from his heart about the scandal that occurred here... and to remove dross, thistles, and weeds from Hashem's vineyard].  Extremely rare!
