All the Houses of the Jews were Burnt - a Handwritten Miraculous Story - Signed by Rabbi Yaakov David Poah of Italy - on Nevi'im Acharonim - Pisa, 1803 - Sefer Arba'ah VeEsrim Section III - Nevi'im Acharonim - with the Minchat Shai commentary - Shmuel Molcho Press - Pisa, 1803.  Appearing on the flyleaf is an unfamilar miraculous story about a fire that broke out on Sabbath eve, destroying the houses of the Jews of the town. The writer describes the miraculous events during which he, his daughter and his son-in-law were saved from the fire: ”All the Jewish homes were burned... this was the hand of G-d... it was a miracle that the fire was contained to the sheets and blankets... there was no way to fix this terrible tragedy... the neighbors heard nothing... even if our mouths were full of song like the sea, we would not stop giving thanks... a memorial every single year to give praise to the G-d of Israel for all my days, for a long life...” At the end of the manuscript, the writer signed his name, Yaakov David...Yechiel Poah: ”יעקב דוד... יחיאל פואה זצ”ל ס”ט”. The Poah family was a famed family of Italian rabbis. Among their members were the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Poah, the Ramak's brother-in-law and the printer Yechiel Poah of Mantova.  [1], 135, [4] leaves.  Old and worn half-leather binding. Good condition.
