An impoartant Chortekov Chassid and a leading Chassidic activist for the Yishuv in ERetz Yisrael.  - Ownership notation: ”הספר הלז שייך להרב... החסיד מו”ה יהודה ליב מסלאנים” - apparently the father of the Admor of Slonim, Rabbi Mordechai Chaim (Reb Motel) Slonimer.  - Ownership signature: ”להק' נחום דוב בהמנוח הר' מרדכי פרידמאן זלל”ה מעיה”ק טבריא...”.  - Russian stamp of the Jewish community of Harbin, China .
