Sefer Yesod: Issur Veheiter - First Edition - Ferrara, 1555 Incomplete Copy with Handwritten Completions and Glosses - One of the foundations of Psikah on Hilchot Kashruth! Sefer Issur Veheiter by the Gaon Rabbi Yonah. An important Sefer Yesod on Hilchot Issur and Heiter according to the Ashkenazic custom. Ever since it was published, the book is referred to by all the Poskim. Is is known by the Poskim as Issur Veheiter Aroch, to differentiate it frpm Sefer Sha'arei Dura which has a similar title.  First ediiton printed by Avraham ben Oshaki, Ferrera, 1555. Stefansku Sifrei Yesod 252. Originally [174] leaves. In this copy, the title page is missing as well as the following leaf, 2 leaves of the indices (which were bound in this copy at the end of the book) and the last 2 leaves (the two last leaves are the table of errors and are missing from many copies). The first leaf of the text is missing and was completed with fine script from the time of printing. Throughout the book, there are several handwritten corrections and glosses - not studied. Stains and some moth perforations. Taping along the edges of several leaves. Old, detached half-leather binding. The first leaf is detached. Good overall condition.
