Partial Set of the First Edition of Sefer Aruch HaShulchan Printed in Its Author's Lifetime - Warsaw / Piotrkow, 1884-1908 - Sefer Aruch HaShulchan, the monumental work by the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Michl Halevi Epstein, Rav and Av Beit Din of Novhardok, written according to the Simanim of the Shulchan Aruch. The book is considered a Sefer Yesod of Halachic Psikah. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod p. 119.  The is a partial set including the following:  1. Volume with the five sections of Choshen Mishpat , the first that was published of the important work - first edition. Warsaw - 1884:  * Section [I]: Siman 1-38. [2], 6, 84 pp.  * Section [II]: Siman 39-74. 120 pp.  * Section [II]: Siman 75-96. 86 pp. * Section [IV]: Siman 97-132. 106 pp. * Section [V]: Siman 133-188. 146 pp. The title page of Section I and the foreword are missing and were completed with artistic script with the addition of the author's short biography (the entire missing part except for the leaf with the Mamar Kevod Melech - about Jews' attitude to the King and the State).  2. On Hilchot Nidah and Mikva'ot - first edition. Warsaw - 1904. [1], 96 leaves. Blemish to title page and an open tear affecting the text of the last leaf. On the title page, a handwritten notation: ” הספר קניתי מידי הגאון המחבר אדר תרס”ו, יעקב לעוויצקי”. * Bound with the section of Orach Chaim on Hilchot Pesach - first ediiton. Piotrkow, 1907. The title page is missing. Additional blemishes affecting the text of several elaves. At its end, handwritten indices.  3. On Hilchot Gittin - first edition. Piotrkow, 1904. 145 leaves.  * On Hilchot Mi'un and Yibum and Chalitzah - first edition. Piotrkow, 1905. 63 leaves.  4. On Orach Chaim Hilchot Shabbat Eruvin Rosh Chodesh - first edition. Warsaw, 1901. The first sheet is detached. Detached binding, Many moth perforations.  5. On Hilchot Shechita and Treifot [separate title page for each section] - second edition. Warsaw, 1901. [1], 43; [1], 83 leaves.  Condiitons vary. Varued blemishes. Non-matching bindings. Good-fair overall condition.    The Posek Maran Rabbi Yechiel Michl Halevi Epstein (1829-1908) Av Beit Din of Novhardok, author of the monumental series, Aruch Hashulchan and one of the leading Poskim of Europe. In 1865, became Av Beit Din of Novozibkov, which was a Chassidic town. In that year, he also published his book Or Layesharim, which was approbated, among others, by Rabbi Aharon and Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl, who were Chassidic Admorim. In ca. 1874, at the age of 45, he moved to Novhardok, where he served as the Rav of the town for 34 years. Was famed for his book Aruch Hashulchan which became a basic Psika book. Gave a Rabbinic Semicha to a large number of rabbis, some of whom became renowned Gedolei Torah.
