Chazon Ovadya - with a Dedication Handwritten by Maran Malka - to the Rishon LeZion!!! Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Chai Uziel - Sefer Chazon Ovadya - the first book (except for the Kuntres Yabi'a Omer) by Maran Rabbi Ovadya Yosef which he published at the young age of 31 years - first edition, Jerusalem - 1952.  Pedigreed, sacred and special! Appearing on the flyleaf is a dedication handwritten and signed by Maran Malka the author, tothe Gaon Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Chai Uziel, the Rishon LeZion and Chief Rabbi of Israel, who was one of the approbators of his book.  The dedication was written in Rashi script, which was used by Rabbeinu until the 1960s; then he bgean writing in regular script.  שי לכבוד הגאון הגדול המפורסם מרן הראשון לציון עטרת תפארת ישראל מוהר”ר בן ציון מאיר חי עוזיאל שליט”א בברכת חג כשר ושמח וביקרא דאוריתא עובדיה יוסף ס”ט There was much love and appreciation between these two great leaders of the Sephardic Torah world. Rav Uziel was the one who gave Rabbeinu his rabbinic Semicha in 1940 and also approbated this book, praising Rabbeinu, who was then only 31 years old: ”רב חביבאי ורחימא דנפשאי, הרב הגאון החריף ובקי, משנתו קב ונקי...”.  In 1947, in his old age, Rav Uziel appointed Maran Ovadya Yosef to replace him in delivering the sermon of Shabbat Hagadol! 330, [2] pp.  Detached binding.
