Collection of Volumes of the Miniature Edition of Torah Neviim and Ketuvim - Robertus Stephanus Press Paris, 1544-1546 - Torah, Neviim and Ketuvim, ”printed by the order of Robertus Stephanus and in his home... 1544-1546, here in the capital of Paris in France...”. Rare and impressive Hebrew edition of the Bible that was printed in Paris in the years 1546-1544 by the famed printer Robert Estienne (who was known by his Latin name Robertus Stephanus) and was considered one of the leading printers of the French Renaissance. This edition was printed as a small pocket edition (16mo) the size of approx. 11X7 cm. This edition is one of the first Hebrew editions of the bible that were printed by a non-Jew and is considered revolutionary in its quality and textual precision. It contains vowelization, Te'amim, division into verses and chapters and is one of the first that included the Mesorah-based punctuation of the text in an attempt to maintain scientific precision in Hebrew. These are seven volumes:  1-2. Two copies of Sefer Bereshit of Chamisha Chumshei Torah . Adar - 1546. [145] leaves. Original leather binding, dismantled and without the front boards. In one of them, the first leaves are detached. The other has moth perforations. Both without the title page.  3. Sefer Vayikra . [78] leaves. Detached title page mounted on another leaf. Original  leather binsding, blemished. Moth perforations and damage.  4. Sefer Bamidbar . [112] leaves. Original leather binding with a blemished spine. Some moth perforations.  5. Sefer Devarim . [107] leaves. Original leather binding with blemishes. Some moth perforations.  6. Sefer Yeshaya of Neviim Acharonim . Adar - 1544. [131] leaves. Old binding without a spine. Some moth perforations.  7. Sefer Ezra and Nechemya . Sivan - 1545. [30; 43 leaves]. Late leather binding. Taping to the first leaf. No title page.  Not studied leaf-by-leaf. Conditions vary - stains and minot blemishes. Most in good overall condition.
