Copy of Rabbi David Chanzin who was One of the Publishers of This Edition: First Sefer HaTanya Printed in Israel - Tel Aviv 1943. - Likkutei Amarim Tanya printed at the height of the Holocaust, the first printed in Eretz Yisrael, by the Chassid Pinchas Althaus - Tel Aviv, 1943. Ever since the first edition of the Tanya was printed by the Rom Widow and Brothers in Vilna (1900), all editions of the Tanya until today have been facsimiles of this edition. This Tel Aviv edition, however, is the only one (!) reprinted with new fonts, and not as a facsimile of the Vilna edition. Mondshine Sefer HaTanya Edition #40. Originally, [2], 2-163 leaves - in this copy, leaves 2-4 are missing. Stains and some moth perforations. Original binding, detached and with a blemished and incomplete spine. Several detached leaves. Good overall condition. On verso of the front board, a handwritten signature: ”דוד חנזין” - referring to Rabbi David Chanzin, manager of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak network, board member of the Chabad Beit Din in Israel and Rav of the Chabad community of Petach Tikvah, who was also a member of the ”Committee for Printing the Tanya”, which published this edition. The members of this committee included also Rabbi Pinchas Althuas, Rabbi Eliezer Korsik, Rabbi Moshe Gur-Aryeh and Rabbi Naftali Dulitzki.
