Letter by the Roדh Yeshiva of Torat Emet Rabbi Moshe Areyeh Leib Shapira - Jerusalem, 1952 - Letter on official stationery, from Shvat 2, 1952, signed by the famed Chassid the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Areyeh Leib Shapira, the Rosh Yeshiva of Torat Emet Haklalit and Rav and Moreh Tzeddek of the Beit Yisrael neighborhood of Jerusalem, about assisting in completing the building of a Mikveh that was destroyed. Minor stains. Filing holes and fold lines. Good overall condition. The Gaon Rabbi Moshe Areyeh Leib Shapira (1889-1972) the Rosh Yeshiva of the Chabadic Torat Emet Rav and Moreh Tzeddek of the Beit Yisrael neighborhood of Jerusalem. Was born in Jerusalem to Rabbi Meir Binyamin Shapira and Genieshe Shapira (formerly, Azulai). On his mother side, he is sixth generation from the Chida. Was a student of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva and later, was one of the first students who founded the Torat Emet Yeshiva of Hebron. When the Torat Emet Yeshiva was founded in Jerusalem, he was called by its manager, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Havlin, to serve as its Rosh Yeshiva. He was chosen by the Admor the Rayatz as his personal escort during his visit to the town in 1929. Author of Nimukei Malbam and Taba'ot Zahav.
