Letter Handwritten by the First Tamim and the First Mara DeAtra of Kfar Chabad Rabbi Shneur Zalman Gorelik on Kashrut Matters - Tamuz, 1963 - Letter on the official stationery of Rabbi Shneur Zalman Gorelik, Rav and the first Mara DeAtra of Kfar Chabad, from Tamuz 16, 1963, sent to the Kashrut department of the Chief Rabbinate. In the letter, the Mara DeAtra inquires as to the Kashrut of  food products factories.  Approx. 27X22 cm. Stains. Filing holes and fold lines. A small tear.  Rabbi Shneur Zalman Gorelik (1880-1974), the son of Rabbi Yehoshua who was a Chassid of the Rebbe the Rashab. The first Tamim and the first student of the Tomechei Temimim Yehsiva of Lubavitch after attending the Rebbe the Rayatz' wedding and answering the Rebbe the Rashab's call to establish the yeshiva. Received his rabbinic Smicha from Rabbi David Zvi Chen and more. At the age of 21 he was accepted as Rav in Bereźne, Ukraine and later in Snovsk. Was one of the first settlers of Kfar Chabad and later, its first Rav, a position he held for approx. 25 years, until his shocking death in a car accident. His son-in-law, Rabbi Nachum Trebnik, suucceeded his as Rav of Kfar Chabad.
