Touching! Letter by the Rebbetzin Rachel Zisslin and Her Husband Rabbi Shaul Dov Zisslin Indicating Their Devotion to the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva of Tel Aviv - Tel Aviv, 1949 - 2 pages with dense script in Yiddish, touchingly handwritten by the Rebbetzin Rachel Zisslin. The letter depicts her devotion to the yeshiva. Rebbetzin Zisslin was in charge of the yeshiva's kitchen, providing for its students' material needs, raising funds for products in those times of hardship and hiring additional women to cook for the yeshiva students. In her letetr, Rebbetzin Zisslin refers to the Rebbe Rayatz' letter to her (see: אגרות קודש שלו א'תקסג-ד) from 1942. This letter, which was written in the Rayatz' lifetime, refers to his son-in-law the Rebbe, who was told what was written in it and in a memo to be delivered ”צום רבי'ן שליט”א”... After the Rebbetzin Rachel's signature, her husband, Rabbi Shaul Dov Zisslin, added 2 lines handwritten and signed by him ”ויותר ממה שכתוב כאן...”. Fascinating document indicating the devotion to Torah and Chassidut in the first Hebrew town. Approx. 26X21 cm. Filing holes. Stains and fold lines.
