Collection of Invitations and More from Bar Mitzvah Events for the Sons of Heroes - 1970s - Bar Mitzvah Events for IDF orphans or Bar Mitzvah for the sons of heroes were events that took place in Kfar Chabad for children whose fathers were killed in battle. The events were organized by Tze'ireu Agudat Chabad, an organization whose establishment was encouraged by the Rebbe (who even referred to it in several Hitva'aduyot) was founded by Rabbi Yisrael Leibov and Mrs Shifra Golombovich, who husband, Rabbi David, was a soldier who was killed in the Six-Day-War.   ”The Committee for the Heroes' Families” cooperated with the Ministry of Defense, organizing conferences, summer camps and events for IDF widows and orphans. Their central project was a Bar Mitvah event for orphans which was held in Kfar Chabad in the square between the Beit Menachem Synagogue and the central yeshiva of the place. During the event, every Bar Mitzvah boy received a pair of Tefillin as a gift. Political and governmental leaders participated in these events.  This is a collection of invitations and varied cards from the years 1973-1975. Size and condition vary. Filing holes, fold lines and stains.
