Souvenir Leaves and First Day Cover with a Chabad Stamp that was Issued in Honor of the Rebbe and the Chabad Chassidut - The Chabad Stamp was a stamp that was issued by the Israel Post in honor of the Rebbe and the Chabad Movement. In 2006, the Rebbe's 100th birth anniversary, the Israel Post decided, as a gesture of honor and appreciation for the Rebbe, to issue a stamp in his honor. However, after it was made clear that printing the Rebbe's portrait on the stamp itself was out of the question - in accordance with the well-known instruction (Igrot Kodesh 18, 1968) not to print a stamp with the picture of the Admor Hazaken - they agreed to the request of the Chairman of Agudat Chassidei Chabad, Rabbi Shlomo Maidanchik, to choose the closest thing to the Rebbe's picture: the drawing of 770. Due to various delays, the stamp's issuance was postponed, and the stamp's 'release date' (Yom HaHofa'ah) was finally on the 22nd of Shevat, 2006. The stamp features a drawing of the World Chabad Center - 770, with the inscription 'Chochmah Binah Da'at' (Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge) above it (the letters Chet, Bet, Dalet in golden letters). In the background of 770, a map of the globe can be seen, to illustrate that this is a center that spreads light to the entire world. The stamp tab depicts an illustration of Tefillin and Shabbat candles, and in the center, the slogan of the Mivtza'im: 'Ufaratzta' (You shall spread out), in golden letters.  Souvenir Leaf With the stamp, a souvenir leaf was issued, for stamp collectors.  Mounted on the souvenir leaf is the stamp and postmark of the 'release date'. Appearing on the leaf is the Rebbe's picture and a picture of Beit Agudat Chassidei Chabad 770. Above it, a picture of the Temple, indicating the connection between the houses in the Ge'ulah Shleimah according to Kuntres Beit Rabbeinu Shebebavel, as written in the explanation about the issuance of the stamp. On the right side of the leaf, above the picture of 770, the Mashi'ach flag. On verso of the souvenir leaf there is a short explanation about the Chabad Movement, the Rebbe, 770 and the Ge'ulah. There is also a short English translation of the explanation.  From Chabadpedia, see more there: https://chabadpedia.co.il/index.php/בול_חב”ד This collection includes 2 souvenit leaves and a first day cover:  1.
