Touching Letter by the Secretary of the Rebbe the Rayatz Rabbi Shmuel Zalmanov to the Mashpi'a Rabbi Alter Simchovich with Interesting Details about the Rebbe the Rayatz after His Release from Prison - Warsaw 1927 - Letter handwritten and signed by the secretary of the Rebbe the Rayatz and manager of the Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch Yeshiva in Warsaw and Vilna, from Monday Ekev 1927, addressed to the famed Mashpi'a Rabbi Alter Simchovich. Rabbi Shmuel begins his letter with condolences for the passing of Rabbi Simchovich' wife, Mrs. Rivkah (the daughter of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Havlin): ”ומאד דאבה נפשינו מהאסון הנוראי אשר קרה אתכם, ל”ע...”.  Later, the secretary Rav Zalmanov refers to the Rebbe the Rayatz and his arrest from which he was released approx. a month before this letter was written on Tamuz 12, 1927. Rav Zalmanov notes that the Rebbe the Rayatz is now ”al Ne'ot Deshe near Moscow for varied reasons...”/  Rabbi Zalmanov expresses the Chassidim's yearning and hope to meet the Rebbe the Rayatz and their prayer for his recovery from the imprisonment: ”יזכינו השי”ת גם אותנו לשמוע בקרוב את אור תורתו יוצאים מפיו הקדוש , ולהסתופף בהיכל קדשו בימים נוראים הבע”ל אשר ע”ז יתפלל כל חסיד וכו'. ואת כפינו נישא לאל עליון שישלח עזרתו מקודש לחזק במהרה את בריאות גופו הקדוש, כי לפי המכתבים חלוש הנהו ביותר מרוב העינוים והיסורין שסבל במשך העת הנורא והאיום ...”. 20X12.5 cm.
