Kislev 17 1991 A description that was written in those days in Yoman Mibeit Chayeinu recalls the day of the Chalukah: ”At the end of the prayer, the Rebbe Shlita entered his room and at 1:30 came out for the Chalukah of the Kuntresim. This time, the Chalukah was not downstairs, but near the entrance to the Rebbe's room... the door was open and the dollar table was close to the entrance and so he stood and handed out the Kuntres... to men, women and children...thousands of people passed by the Rebbe Shlita and for this reason - the masses of people - almost no one managed to talk to the Rebbe, only pass by quickly, get a fleeting glance of the king's illuminated face and leave happily with a special gift...”.
