Letter of Protest to the Jewish Agency - Signed by Maran Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer and Additional Rabbis - Jerusalem, 1930 - This is a terrible Chilul Dat that provokes much resentement - letter of protest to the Jewish Agency - hand-signed by the Geonim Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer, Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Harlap and Rabbi Abba Yaakov Hacohen Borochov - Jerusalem, 1930.  In their letter to the management of the Jewish Agency, the rabbis protest the lack of budget for religious issues which leads to the state of religion in Eretz Yisrael being in decline. ”For example: here are the upcoming days of Passover and it is well-known that many groups bake and eat Chametz on Passover, which is a terrible Chilul Dat that provokes much resentement in the entire Diaspora...”.  The rabbis demand in their letter that all the budgets alloctaed for religious matters be supervised by Maran Rav Kook ”There is no other remedy except for the money of the religious budget to be given to the Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisrael the Gaon Av Beit Din Shlita and the Rav Shlita will manage the religious issues with the HaMizrachi as decided by the Congress in 1926...”.   The letter is signed by:  ~  Maran the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer Gaon Av Beit Din of Slutzk and author of Even HaEzel. ~ The Gaon and Mekubal Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Harlap  ~ The Gaon Rabbi Abba Yaakov Hacohen Borochov author of Shut Chevel Yaakov.  22X29 cm.  Wear.
