The Torat Zevach of the Gaon Rabbi Anshil Greenwald the Mateh Asher Shochet Uvodek of Ungvar with Correctiosn Handwritten by HIm - Sefer Torat Zevach, the Sefer Yesod by Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried author of the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch on Hilchot Shechitah. With approbations (from the first edition) by Rabbeinu Shlomo Kluger, Rabbeinu the Divrei Chaim fo Sanz, Rabbeinu the Maharam Esh and more. Second edition, Lemberg, 1860. [5], 46 leaves. Some moth perforations. Stains and minor blemishes. Contemporary binding with a missing spine - partly detached. Good overall condition.  On the title page of the book, ownership stamps of Rabbi Asher Anshil Greenwald, Shochet Uvodek of the Kehal Yere'im on Ungvar and above it, the stamp of his friend, Rabbi Yehuda Yosef Einhorn, Shochet Uvodek and Shatz of Pressburg and the handwritten signature of Rabbi Yehuda Yosef Einhorn, who was previously Shochet of Ungvar. Two beloved friends who jointly published the book Kitzur Nachalat Shivah (Ungvar, 1926).  Additional ownership stamps of Rabbi Avraham segal Edelstein, Shochet Uvodek of Marianske Lozne.  Throughout the book, several correction and a single erased gloss handwritten by the famed Shochet Uvodek Rabbi Asher Anshil Greenwald, author of the book Mateh Asher, a work on Sefer Simlah Chadashah on Hilchot Shechita and Teifot, which is a compilation based on several books including this one, Sefer Torat Zevach. This is thus the personal book of Rabbi Asher Anshil on which his book Mateh Asher is based .  ***  The famed Shochet Uvodek Rabbi Asher Anshil Greenwald (d. 1943), the son of Rabbi Meir Greenwald, a descendant of the Maharam Esh. Served as Shochet Uvodek of Satmar and then Ungvar. Author of Kitzur Nachalat Shivah, Mateh Asher on Simlah Chadashah , Zocher Habrit and Sefer Tuv Yerushalayim.
