Rare! Letter with the Handwritten Signature of the Admor Rabbi Meir Yechiel Halevi of Ostrovtza - 1924 - ידיו גלילי זהב - letter of Askanut and Chessed - with the handwritten signature of the Admor Rabbi Meir Yechiel Halevi Halstock, the first Admor of Ostrovtza - Ostrovtza (Ostrowiec), 1924.  In his letter, the Ostrovtzer recommends a Jew named dan Ledirman, who was living in Eretz Yisrael, ”who is a simple and honest man and it is a Mitzvah to support him in all that he needs...” . It is interesting to note the pure charity and Ahavat Yisrael implied in the simple truth written by Rabbeinur.  A letter in good condition by Rabbeinu is extremely rare! 13X21 cm.  Filing perforations. Good condition.  *** The Admor Rabbi Meir Yechiel Halevi Halstock (1851-1928) a famed Gaon of Poland. Is mentioned in the same breath as the Rogatchover as a symbol of a great Gaon who ”KOl Raz la Anis Leh”. Rabbeinu founded a special Shitah of study in Poland and had many students who followed in his Talmudic footsteps. His approbation appears at the beginning of many books which were published in those days and usually contained his own Chidushim. These Chidushim enventually formed the basis for the book Meir Eibei Chachamim. In additionj to his awe-inspiring Geonut in theTorah, he was renowned as a sacred Kadosh and Safan who fasted for forty successive years. Served as Av Beit Din of Ostrovtza for almost 39 years, until his passing in 1928. Authored the books Meir Einei Chachamim, Or Torah, Meir LaAretz and more.
