Letter of Cry for Help in the Midst of the Holocaust - for Rescuing the Admorim of Bohush and Pashkan from the Nazis - כשבאים לדון דיני נפשות ולהכריע בדמים סמוקים - most important historical letters - about rescuing the Admorim of Bohush and Pashkan from burning Europe - sent by Rabbi Yaakov Yosha Bauminger the in-law of the Admor Rabbi Yaakov of Husiatyn - Tel Aviv, 1941.  Rav Bauminger was the grandson of the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman of Bohush (I). From his residence in Tel Aviv, Rabbi Bauminger worked tirelessly to rescue his raltives, the Admorim of Bohush and Pashkan from Emek Habachah. Rav Bauminger used the ties of Beit Ruzhin to the HaMizrachi Movement to obtain visas to Eretz Yisrael, visas that were issued sparingly. People were willing to give a fortune for a certificate, yet these were given only to a chosen few.  These are two letters that the rav sent to the management of HaMizrachi and Rabbi Meir Bar Ilan.  ~ In his letter to Rav Berlin, he writes: ”I am not oblivious to the responsibility borne by the leaders of the generation when they are called to decide matters of life and death and to decide whose 'blood is redder'... Furthermore, there are objective differences, universally acknowledged, that Admorim, Rosh Yeshivas, and Rabbis, as far as we are concerned, take precedence in all matters”. His words were written mindfully since eventually, his fate was in the hands of the management of HaMizrachi. Nevertheless, the letter implies some criticism: ”ברם אין אני מודה בהנחתו, שא”א לכבודו לחוות דעתו בדיני הקדימה, אם מן השמים קא מוקמי ליה, ודאי משם יסייעהו שלא יכשל ח”ו...”. Rav Bauminger ends the letter with a blessing, in the spirit of those difficult times: ”מאוחדים כולנו בתקותנו ששומר ישראל לא ינום ולא ישן עד הצילו את שארית עמו מחיות הטרף...”. Good condition.  ~ In his letter to the Worlwide Center of HaMizrachi, Rav Bauminger writes: ”I have submitted to his honor a list of the Admorim of the Friedman house and their families... I emphasize again that the Admoric families are a single complete unit and cannot be separated...”. He mentions the attitude of his in-law the Admor to the HaMizrachi Movement (of those days...): ” My father-in-law is entitled to have the Mizrachi movement accede to his first request since he joined the movement namely, since the very day of its founding... the immigration  of the aforementioned Admorim, who have been devoted lovers of the Land from time immemorial...”. 22X28 cm.  Filing perforations. Appearing on the letter to Rav Bar Ilan is a list of six families of Admorim of Bohush and Pashkan, all grandsons and great-grandsons of Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman, the first Afmor of Bohush.  1. Admor Rabbi Moshe Yehuda leib of Pashkan, the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman, the first Afmor of Bohush.  2. His son and successor the Admor Rabbi Yaakov david Friedman, the second Admor of pashkan.  3. Admor Rabbi Yitzchak of Bohush.  4. Rabbi Yisrael Yosef Friedman.  5. Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Bohush.  6. His son Rabbi Yitzchak friedman.
