Extremley Rare! Early Deposition from London Signed by the Dayanim Rabbi Aryeh Leib Frumkin, Rabbi Pinchas Gerber and Rabbi Avraham Yissachar Segal - London, 1902 - וראה אותו בפרצוף פניו ופדחתו עם החוטם - early deposition from London pertaining to a Heiter Agunah - with the handwritten signatures of the Geonim Rabbi Aryeh Leib Frumkin, Rabbi Pinchas Gerber and Rabbi Avraham Yissachar Segal - London, 1902.  ”Reb Shimon ben Reb Naftali Hirtz Chaimovsky testified before us...”. His statement is about Rabbi Levi Aronovich, apparently to be sent to his hometown in order to enable his wife to remarry.  ”והכניסום השומרים בחדר שהיה הנפטר שם וראה אותו בפרצוף פניו ופדחתו עם החוטם והכירו בטב”ע [בטביעת עין] הטב שהוא הוא ר' לוי הנ”ל... וכ”ז הוגבה בפנינו ב”ד כדין, ובאעה”ח יום ד' י”ב חודש אדר ראשון התרס”ב...” [The guards brought him into the room where the deceased was [laid], and he saw his facial features and forehead along with the nose, and recognized him clearly through a distinct visual identification (Tevi'at Ayin) that he is indeed the aforementioned Reb Levi... and all this was collected before us, the Beis Din, according to the law on Wednesday, Adar I 12, 1902...]. The deposiiton is signed by the following:  ~ ”נאום ארי' ליב בהרב ר' שמואל קעלמר פרומקין מפ”ק לונדון ומלפנים רב באלעקסאט” - the Gaon Rabbi Aryeh Leib Frumkin (1845-1916), Av Beit Din of Aleksotas (a suburb of Kovno, Lithuania). He did much for the settlememnt of Eretz Yisrael. Was a fertile author who wrote many books including a special edition of Seder Rav Amram and Toldot Chachmei Yerushalayim. Was one of the founder of Petach Tikvah. One of his many descendants was Rabbi Jonathan Sacks - the Chief Rabbi of Britain.  ~ ”ונאום פינחס יעקב באא”מ יהודה גערבער מוד”ץ פה לונדון הבירה” - the Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Yaakov Gerber Av Beit Din of Eastern London, author of Yad Pinchas. Signed many Kol Koreh with Maran Rav Kook the Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisrael.  ~ ”ונאום אברהם ישכר בן יהודא סגל” . Early document from London - extremely rare.  13X17 cm.  Fold lines. Good condition.
