Fine Letter - Handwritten and Signed by the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Yosef of Spinka - Addressed to the Gaon Yisrael Aryeh Zalmanovitz - New York, 1957 - לאמץ ולחזק ברכים כושלות - fine poetic letter - by the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Yosef of Spinka - addressed to the Chassid Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Aryeh Zalmanovitz Av Beit Din of Akko - about his book Chayei Nefesh - New York, 1957.  At the beginning of his letter, Rabbeinu thanks Rav Zalmanovitz for paticipating in the conference of Spinka Chassidim in Israel: ”ותשוח”ח... השתתפותו במסיבת מרעים של אנשי הי”ו וחפץ ה' בידו יצליח לאמץ ולחזק ברכים כושלות שנזכה לילך בדרך אבוה”ק זי”ע דרך ישראל סבא באמונת אומן”.   Then Rabbeinu inform him about his intention to visit Israel:   ”אעלה לציון ברנה כדי להתראות עם אנשי וידידנו הי”ו...” and blesses him for sending his book Chayei Nefesh: ”ועברתי על בתריו.. בשבח המגיע לכתבים.. ע”כ אמינא לפעלא טבא יישר כוחו וחילו לאורייתא ויפוצו מעינותיו חוצה ויזכה להפיץ תורה וטהרה בישראל...”. The addressee, the Chassid Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Aryeh Zalmanovitz, a Sanz Chassid. An in-law of the Spinka Chassidut and was close to the Admor.  *** The Admor Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Weiss of Spinka (1912-1088) the son of Rabbi Yisrael Chaim weiss and a descendant of the Chakal Yitzchak. He spent his childhood years in the home of his grandfather, who from a young age destined him for greatness; at the age of 15, his grandfather already instructed him to deliver a Torah kesson in the city’s synagogue. After his marriage, he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva of his grandfather's yeshiva in Spinka, as well as a Dayan in the Beit Din of his father-in-law, Rabbi Alter Menachem Mendel Hager in Borsha. After the Holocaust, he was appointed to serve as the Admor of Spinka, succeeding his grandfather, the Chakal Yitzchak. Under his leadership, Spinka Shtiebelach were established in several cities in Israel and the United States, as were yeshivas in Brooklyn and Bnei Berak.
