First Time Auctioned! Rare Letter by Rabbi Elazar Lifshitz the son-in-law of the Admor Hazaken of Alexander - Recommendation for a Rav for the Beit HaChassidim of Radomsk in Alexander! - Interesting letter of Semichah - handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Elazar Lifshitz, the son-in-law of Rabbi Yechiel Danziger, the Admor Hazaken of Alexander - to Rabbi Elimelech Weiss, Rav of the Beit HaChassidim in Alexander - Lodz, 1935.  At the beginning of the leaf, there is a letter by the Gabaim of Beit HaChassidim confirming that the above Rav has been their Rav for several years, delivering regular lessons: ”ומנהיג אותנו בעקבות אבותינו בדרך תוה”ק ופעלו עשה פרי”. Beneath their letter is a letter by Rabbi Elazar Lifshitz confirming what they wrote and adding that the Rav is the spiritual leader of the worshipers of Beit HaChassidim of Radomsk in Alexander near Lodz: ”הוא מנהיגם הרוחני של מתפללי בית החסידים דראדאמסק בעיר אלכסנדר הסמוכה לפה לאדז... וגם מורה להם הוראות או”ה כמו שדרשתי וחקרתי ע”ז ונודע לי שכל זה אמת...”. The letter indicates that there was a Shtiebel of Radomsk in Alexander and that it did not bother the Alexander Chatzer at all. On the contrary, they took it kindly, writing a Semichah letter for their Rav.  To the best of our knowledge, letters by Rabbi Elazar Lifshitz have never been auctioned! [1] leaf. 20X15.5 cm. Fold lines. Dampness stains with a blemish to the lower part of the leaf.  *** The Chassid Gaon Rabbi Elazer Lifshitz - the son-in-law of the Admor Hazaken of Alexander Rabbi Yechiel Danziger. Already as a youth was recognized as a Lamdan and Matmid. He lived for many years in the Chatzer of Alexander and was then appointed Dayan of Lodz.
