The script matches Eastern countries, trainee script as found in remnants of the Cairo Genizah. Experts who have studied the manuscript disagree on the period during which it was written: Rabbi Dr. Ezra Chwat estimates the manuscript is from the 13th-14th century. Others, however, believe the manuscript is from an even earlier period, possibly the 12th century or even earlier. The manuscript was studied by the manuscript expert Rabbi Dr. Ezra Chwat - bibliographer of manuscripts of the Manuscript Department of the National Library in Jerusalem. According to his review: ”Photocopies 959-964 Shemot 33: 13-23; Devarim 33: 6-14; Devarim 27: 7-20 11 lines per page, Nikud and Te'amim, Eastern, trainee script as found in many remnants of the Cairo Genizah. Paper with flakings and taping of remnants of another manuscript - Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim 183: 8, typical of material that had a secondary use such as binding. Such material from Yemen also includes ancient Eastern manuscripts. 13th-14th century yet it is diffuclt to be precise due to the scipt's non-professional natyre”.
