The Rebbe's Portrait Composed of the Words of the Mamar Bati Legani Numbered Lithograph Signed by the Artist - Nissan 11, 1982 - Original lithograph, a monumental work by the artist Michl (Michael) Schwartz, who was close to the Rebbe and created the famed logo of the Merkos LeInyonei Chinuch [Central Organization for Education], Tzivos Hashem and more.  The lithograph was made for the Rebbe's 80th birthday on Nissan 11, 1982. The REbbe's portrait is composed of the words of his famed Mamar Bati Legani. Extraordinary typography. Printed on thick quality paper.  The lithograph is hand-signed by the artist and dated by him to Nissan 11, 1982.  46.5X60 cm. Minor stains. Small tears along the edges. Fold lines and other minor blemishes.  The artist Michael Schwartz (who also signed his name as Shevach Michl and was known as Michael or Michel; 1926–2011) was a close  to the Rebbe and created numerous works inspired by him and under the Rebbe's guidance. Within Chabad, he is renowned for creating several iconic logos, including those of Merkos LeInyonei Chinuch, Cemp Gan Ysroel, the Tzivos Hashem organization, and the logo for the Lag BaOmer parades. His first connection with the Rebbe was established when he was only 15 years old. When he established the Gallery Chai in Crown Heights, the Rebbe gave him a check for $10,000 (!) to assist with the founding expenses. His works adorn many prestigious locations worldwide, including synagogues, the White House, the Knesset, municipalities, private collections, and more.
