The Rebbe's Letter to the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Yitzchak Nissim with Blessings for Passover - Yom Habahir Nissan 11, 1963 - Letter by the Rebbe, typewritten on official stationery, from the important date of Yom Habahir Nissan 11, 1963.  The letter is addressed to Chief Rabbi the Rishon LeZion the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Rachamim Nissim - who had a long-lasting relationship with the Rebbe; their correspondence was published numerous times. The Rebbe's appreciation is inidcated by the superlatives he uses in his Igrot Kodesh - and in this letter too.  ”לקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותינו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לחג כשר ושמח ולחירות אמתית, חירות מדאגות בגשם ומדאגות ברוח - מכל דבר המעכב עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב. ולהמשיך מחירות ושמחה זו בימי כל השנה כולה. ובפרט שעבודת השם, כמצווה עלינו בתורתנו תורת חיים, הרי היא בכל עניני האדם ובמשך כל היום וכל הלילה, וכמו שנאמר בכל דרכיך דעהו”. בכבוד ובברכת החג [In anticipation of Chag HaMatzot, the time of our Liberation, which comes to us and to all of Israel for good, I hereby express my blessing for a Kosher and joyful holiday and for true freedom, freedom from worries in the material sense and worries in the spiritual sense - from anything that hinders the service of Hashem with joy and gladness of heart. And may this freedom and joy be extended throughout all the days of the year. Especially since Avodat Hashem, as commanded to us in our Torah, Torat  Chaim, encompasses all of a person’s affairs throughout the entire day and the entire night, as it is written:Bechol Derachecha Da'ehu.
