The Rebbe's Letter with Encouragement for Limud Torah and Its Influence on the Surrounding and the Rebbe's Blessing for Shavu'ot - Lag BaOmer 1979 - Typewritten letter on the Rebbe's official stationery from Lag BaOmer 1979, Brooklyn, New York, Beit Chayeinu. Fascinating letter combining a personal response for a request for a blessing and spiritual guidance. The Rebbe begins by noting that he received the addressee's letter with the request that he pray for the addressee's father. The Rebbe asks for the full Hebrew name and that of his mother, to ”remember him in prayer when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law...” - the Admor the Rayatz. The Rebbe then refers to the addressee's past as a student of the Hadar HaTorah Yeshiva (the first yeshiva in the world for Chabadic Ba'alei Teshuvah). The Rebbe cites the famed Mamar of ”holiness does not abandon its place” and calls the addressee to make sure he has daily periods of Torah study and fulfillment of Miztvot with Hiddur. In the last part of the letter, the Rebbe writes about the priciple of V'Ohavto L'Reacho Komocho, encouraging the addressee to use his good influence to bring other Jews closer to Torah and Mitzvot. The letter ends with a blessing for Shavu'ot - ”... to receive the Torah with joy and inwardness”. The Rebbe's handwritten English signature. Approx. 28X21.5 cm. Fold lines. Some aging stains not affecting the text or the signature. Good overall condiiton.
