Large Pewter Seder Plate - Early 19th Century - 1810 - Hallmarked - Large plate with a fine engraving of 3 seven-sided stars one inside the other; around them, engravings of the Simanim of the Seder: Kadesh, Urchatz etc. Around them, an engraved name (apparently, the artist's); אנהקטן (אני הקטן) מאיר בר אברהם פון אופה / או פוזאופה”; engraved on the edge of the plate is the full text of Ha Lachma Anya and the Hebrew date: Wednesday, Rosh Chodesh Adar 1810 and the letters ה-ו-ה with a floral decoration surrounding them. There is a vulture on the right and a lion on the left. Hallmarks on verso of the plate. Fair condition. A large crack with a minor blemish to the text, repaired with welding. An additional small crack. Diameter: 31.7 cm.
