Taping and tears affecting the text of the title page and the 4 following leaves. Taping to another leaf. The last leaf is detached and torn. Moth damage. Trimmed heading in several leaves. Stains. Old binding, apparently original, with a leather spine, slightly worn. Except for this, good overall condition.  On leaf 7, a handwritten gloss - not studied. On verso of the title page, a handwritten notation of the Seder Plate based on the Kabbalah and Sfirot. Ownership notations on the title page.  The author the Gaon Rabbi Yishmael Hacohen of Moden (1724-1811) a leading contemporary Italian Rav. Established a yeshiva in Modena with hundreds of students who became leading rabbis and Poskim. Was a leading contemporary Meishiv who wrote thousands of responses and Psakim. Author of Zera Emet, three sections.
