The Festival of Freedom in Teheran - Historical, Most Relevant Letter - Iran, 1952 - Greeting card issued by Vaad Torah VeAvodah - the Center for the Religious Pioneer in Teheran, with a blessing to the Jews of Teheran for Passover. Teheran, the eve of Passover, 1952.  In these turbulent days, as the small Jewish community remaining in Iran faces profound uncertainty, left almost entirely to its fate like a hostage, with its future unknown from day to day and hour to hour - the greetings on this card take on an especially poignant and chilling significance. ”יהי רצון מה' אל-הי ישראל, אשר גאלנו וגאל את אבותנו, שנזכה לעלות בקרוב לציון ברנה ולחוג בה את חג גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו”. These words, which were written in Teheran dozens of years ago, reflect the yearning of Iranian Jews for Aliyah and Geulah, which is so relevant to our days.  Greeting card. 34X11 cm.  Very good condition.
