Touching Chassidic Letter Handwritten by the Admor of Chernobyl. Jerusalem, 1959 - Letter with touching Chassidic content by one of the important contemporary Admorim of Eretz Yisrael - Rabbi Meshulam Sussia Twersky, the Admor of Chernobyl, th efather of the Admorim of Chernobyl Shlita and the in-law of the Admor of Kretshnif and Maran the Admor of Vizhnitz Shlita. Jerusalem, Adar II 27, 1959. The letter was sent to one of the activists of Jerusalem. In it, the Admor pleads for his help towards the upcoming Passover: ”אבקש את כת”ר לעזור לי הפעם בעזרה יותר חשובה על חג הפסח, סכום הגון כראוי לצורך השעה הדחוקה ולכבוד אבותי הקדושים זי”ע”. The letter reveals the difficult situation of even the leading Admorim of Eretz Yisrael in those years; the Rebbe, the successor of the glorious Chernobyl dynasty, was living in actual poverty. Yet, it is precisely before the break of dawn that the darkness is at its deepest . Indeed, not long after this difficult period, in 1959, the Rebbe relocated to Bnei Berak and established his Beit Midrash there. Before long, multitudes of Chassidim and those seeking blessings gathered around his court; the Chernobyl Chassidut in the Eretz Yisrael began to flourish, including financialy. The Rebbe, whose blessings worked wonders for thousands, writes his blessing for Passover: ”בברכת פסח כשר וחג שמח וכל טוב, משולם זוסיא טווערסקי, נכד הגה”ק רשכבה”ג מרן מצאנז זי”ע”.
