Blessing for Passover by the Admor Rabbi Yochanan of Rachmastrivka with Lines Handwritten by His Son the Admor Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai - Nissan  1976 - Typewritten letter on the official stationery of the Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twersky of Rachmastrivka-Jerusalem, Written in Nissan 1976, with a blessing for Passover. The letter begins with the words: ”ישפיע העליון ממרומים חיים טובים ושלומים מרובים כטל וכרביבים..” . Then the Rebbe blesses: ”...יה”ר שתזכו לחוג את חג המצות עם כל הנלוים אליכם בהידור הכשרות בשמחת הלב בחדוות ודיצות בשפע ברכת החג. כן אני מזכיר אתכם תמיד לטובה ולברכה שתתברכו בברכת שמים ממעל בברכה המשולשת חיים וברכה למשמרת שלום בריאות השלימות בגו”נ [בגוף ונפש] רב ענג ונחת מכיו”ח [מכל יוצאי חלציכם] ברכה והצלחה מרובה במכ”י [בכל מעשה ידיכם] אך טוב וחסד יסובבם כל הימים תמיד”. The letter ends with the words: ”ויה”ר שנזכה לגמור את ההלל על גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו...ידידו עוז הדוש”ט באה”ר בלונ”ח והמצפה לישועה קרובה בב”א” with a photocopy of lines handwritten and signed by him, as he used to do his entire lifetime at the end of his letters, alongside his official stamp. The addressee's name was added by his son and successor, Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai. At the end of the letter, he also added several lines of blessings handwritten by him: ”ברב תודה הריני מאשר שנתקבל לרצון מנחתו האדיבה סך 50 ל”י לכבוד החג”. Approx. 22X28 cm. Fold lines. Good overall condition. Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twersky of Rachmastrivka (1900-1982) was a descendant of Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl (the Maor Einayim). He rejuvenated the Chassidut after the Holocaust. He studied under his father, the Admor Rabbi David, and moved with his family to Eretz Yisrael in 1926. After his father’s passing in 1950, he was appointed his successor in Jerusalem. His son and successor, the Admor of Rachmastrivka Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Twersky (1929-2004) the son-in-law of the Rav Chacham Rabbi Sender Uri. He stood at his father’s side and helped found the yeshiva “Meor Einayim” in Jerusalem. After his father’s passing, he refused to take the crown of the Admorut upon himself, but after demonstrations by his Chassidim, the Admor of Machnovka (the eldest of the Admorim of Chernobyl) forced him to take it upon himself “whether he wants to or not, he is appointed.” He also said: “Even if he was one of the eight sons of the Chernobyler Maggid, he wouldn’t be embarrassed among them.” But he would only agree, due to his modesty, to be appointed with the approval of his brother, the Admor Rabbi Chai Yitzchak Twersky, the Admor of Rachmastrivka-USA, and they would lead their chassidim together with joint tables. Also at the yeshiva, he appointed his brother as president alongside him.
