Two Especially Sharp Letters - by Rav Maimon - Addressed to Maran Harav of Brisk and Rabbi Eliezer Silver - Even though our opinions differ - two letters with especially sharp expressions - by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Hacohen Maimon (Fischman) -  addressed to Maran Harav of Brisk and Rabbi Eliezer Silver - Jerusalem, 1958.  The two letters were sent following an article by Neturei Karta and a letter by USA rabbis, protesting against Rav Maimon for his words about Maran the Rav of Brisk.  In his letter to the Rav of Brisk, Rav Maimon expresses his gratitude to the Rav of Brisk for instructing Neturei Karta not to continue the conflict, ”כי אני בודאי לא הייתי עובר בשתיקה נגד כל החירופים והגידופים נגדי מצד ”נטורי קרתא” ומצד תלמידים ידועים בישיבות שונות” [For I certainly would not have remained silent in the face of all the insults and blasphemies directed at me by Neturei Karta and by certain students from various yeshivas]. Later in the letter, he justifies his former words, see there.  In his letter to Rabbi Silver, he sharply protests against him signing the letter by USA rabbis, writing that he cannot believe he himself signed the letter: ואיך מעזים אלה שקוראים את עצמם רבנים לכתוב שאני כתבתי שקרים וכזבים...” [And how dare those who call themselves rabbis write that I have written lies and falsehoods...].  Two typewritten letters.  22X28 cm.  Good condition.
