Original Cabinet Card of the Gaon Rabbi Gershon Avraham Berger of Minsk - Early 20th Century - Fine Cabinet Card (photograph mounted on cardboard) featuring the portrait of the Gaon Rabbi Gershon Avraham Halevi ben Rabbi Michl Moshe Berger (ca. 1841-1910) a leading Rav of Minsk and one of its prominent Jewish activists. One of the first disciples of the Chofetz Chaim, a friend and Bar Plugta of the Gadol of Minsk. One of the founders and leaders of the Tomchei Toah Company which supported Avreichim until they received their Smichah.  Stamps (apparently, the photographer's): J. Maxmeu.
