Two Sections of Mishneh Torah Rambam Michtav with Lechem Mishneh - ”Archetype” Edition Amsterdam, 1702 Ancient Signatures and an Interesting Notation - Two sections of the Rambam's Sefer Mishneh Torah / Hayad Hachazakah, with Maggid Mishneh, Kesef Mishneh, Lechem Mishneh and more commentaries on this foundational work.  Important edition on which most subsequent editions were based - the Press of Emanuel Ben Yosef Atias - Amsterdam, 1702. Also known as Rambam Michtav after the Hebrew year of printing. In the first section: a half-title with an impressive engraved illustration - rare . Approbations by the rabbis of Amsterdam and a foreword in a foreign language.  Bound with Sefer Lechem Mishneh ”which is a nice and wonderful commentary and elucidation on Sefer Mishneh Torah” by Rabbi Avraham di Buton. Printed here for the second time with corrections, comments and references by Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Leon. Amsterdam, 1703-1714.  Description of the volumes:  Section I. Mada-Zemanim . ”And about Kiddush Hachodesh commentary by Rabbeinu Ovadya and Rabbi Levi ben Chaviv”. Contains four plates for Hilchto Kiddush Hachodesh and Sabbath and Sukkah. [9], 327, [6] leaves.  Bound at its end is Lechem Mishneh Section I - Amsterdam, 1703 , with a separate title page and a Portuguese dedication by the printer to the philanthropist Yaakov Chizkiya. [3], 49 leaves.  Section IV. Nezikin-Shoftim . ”In this section, the pictures belonging to Hilchot Mechirah and Shutafin were listed...”. [1], 309, [13] leaves.  Bound at its end is Lechem Mishneh Section IV - Amsterdam, 1704 , with a separate title page. 70 leaves.  Detached binding. Much moth damage and perforations. Fair overall condition.     At its end, a handwritten dedication: ”ספר הנחמד הלז שייך לאדוני ב”ב האלוף... כהר”ר אברהם ליכטן שטא'[ט] יצ”ו הקטן אלחנן הענלי מק”ק מנהיים”.
