Poem Praising the Book Chovat Halevavot - Handwritten and Signed by Rabbi Yaakov Momigliano - Mondovi (Italy), 1847 - ”ובשבתו בבית מקלטו מלקטו” -  Poem handwritten and sgned by Rabbi Yaakov Momigliano of Mondovi (Italy) - praising the book Chovat Halevavot  - Mondovi, 1847.  The handwritten leaf is mounted in the inside binding of Sefer Chovat Halevavot, Sulzbach 1791 edition. The poem contains 9 verses praising the book Chovat Halevavot: ”מיטיבי לעד מיטיבי לכת, ושגוא ישגא הגה... ורפא ירפא כל פה המרבה, לספר תפארו ותהלתו בכל נתיבות....”. Rabbi Momigliano ends with several lines implying his tumultuous life and the persecutions he had suffeered by the members of his community in Mondovi: ”כה יורה דברי עט עד הכותב בעת יתר הפליטה והנה בעתה, בימי חורפו, וחליפו מפה ומפה ובשבתו בבית מקלטו מלקטו...”. Not published! A special item relating to the history of the Jews in Italy and the history of Jeiwsh poetry and Piyyutim! Ancient binding with a blemished spine. Detached title page. Stains.
