First Edition of Tiferet Hakodesh on the Haftarot - by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo ben Yisrael of Zholkva - Prague, 1713 - Fine Illustrated Title Page - Sefer Tiferet Yisrael - Drushim on the haftarot - Section II - by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo ben Yisrael of Zholkva - the Press of the GRandsons of Reb Moshe Katz Mechokek - Prague, 1713 - single edition.  The book introduces Drushim on the Haftarot of the Chumashim Vayikra, Bamidbar and Devarim. This book is a sequel to Section I that was printed approx. 15 years earlier in Furth 1701.  The book has a fine illustrated title page featuring the scene of Ya'akov meeting his son Yosef in Egypt. This illustration also appears in books that were printed by Atias in Amsterdam.  Owner's signature on the title page:  ”אברהם ב”ר קלונימוס”.  At the end of the book there is Hebrew and Yiddish handwriting.  [3], 128 leaves/  Late binding. Stains. Some minor moth. Good condition.
